Cedar Valley Hospice Grief Support Services provide comprehensive counseling, support services, and educational leadership on dying, death and grief to the community. The goal of Grief Support Services is to help family members and friends adjust their lives after the death of a loved one. Services are available to friends and family members of Cedar Valley Hospice patients, as well as anyone in the community who is grieving a loss due to death. Services are offered free of charge. Services include:
Grief Support Groups Grief support groups explore the grief process and the emotions which accompany the journey to healing. These groups present important information about common grief reactions and how to move through the grieving process, as well as providing the opportunity to share with, and learn from, others.
Individual Grief Counseling Everyone grieves differently. Some people may benefit from professional support or counseling. The CVH team of grief professionals provides personalized counseling sessions to individuals, couples, and families.
Hospice Social Support Attending social activities after the death of a spouse or loved one may be a difficult task. Hospice Social Support helps make that transition easier by providing support and friendship. This group meets on a regular basis and also holds various group activities.

Community Education Cedar Valley Hospice has a responsibility to our community to provide education on death, dying, and grief to individuals, groups, and organizations. Our professional staff provides presentations and workshops on a various grief-related issues. Visits to businesses, schools, or other locations are available following the death of a co-worker, student, teacher, etc.
