Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist

Cedar Valley Hospice is the premier hospice agency serving 15 counties with offices in Waterloo, Grundy Center, Independence and Waverly. We are currently seeking a highly qualified, driven and creative Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist to join our well-respected Marketing team.

At Cedar Valley Hospice you will work with a dedicated and experienced team that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others and uses creative ways to educate the community on Cedar Valley Hospice programs and services. 

The Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist is responsible for building and fostering relationships between Cedar Valley Hospice and the community, businesses, churches, schools and appropriate agencies. They will be responsible for digital campaign ideation, social media messaging, website management, eNewsletter creation and delivering presentations. They will also assist with creative strategy, community events, fundraising events and the creation of short videos. The Digital Marketing & Community Engagement Specialist should be a driven, self-starter and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously while having strong people skills. The goal is to provide brand awareness and education about Cedar Valley Hospice services in person and across a variety of digital mediums to ensure patient end-of-life care needs are identified, promoting more and earlier referrals to Cedar Valley Hospice.

A Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or a related field is required along with a minimum of two years’ experience in digital marketing, or a similar position.  Experience in healthcare is preferred.  Excellent computer skills required (including Microsoft Office Suite and the Adobe Suite- Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.)  Familiarity with website management and social media applications is also required. Work hours for this position will be 8:00am-4:30pm.   Flexibility to this schedule is required based on agency needs, special events, etc.   Current Iowa driver’s license and reliable vehicle required.
