Hospice Care in Assisted Living and Long-Term Care Facilities

Hospice care is available to individuals residing in facilities, such as nursing homes, through Cedar Valley Hospice. Cedar Valley Hospice staff and volunteers will gladly provide care in an environment that is both familiar and safe in the eyes of the patient and family members.

Some services provided by Cedar Valley Hospice that are available to care facility residents who we are serving include:

  • Palliative care
  • Companionship from Cedar Valley Hospice volunteers
  • Visits from Katie and Quincy Koala
  • Resources and assistance for completing advanced directives such as living wills or durable power of attorney for health care, or IPOST
  • Therapies when appropriate such as physical, occupational, music and massage
