Supporting the Cedar Valley’s
Grieving Youth

Join Cedar Valley Hospice as we harness The Power of Play and The Strength of Community for our annual Youth Grief Camp. Youth ages 5-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one are encouraged to join us on Wednesday, July 16 from 10-3 p.m. for a day of sharing, learning and remembering. The day will include activities meant to spark discussion about their loved one, grief and how to navigate it.

This camp is free and intended for children who are grieving the death of a loved one, regardless of if the death occurred on our hospice program. All campers will receive lunch. Campers who register by July 1 will receive a T-shirt.

Parents and/or guardians are invited to attend a discussion group where our grief team lead will facilitate a conversation on the challenges of supporting grieving youth while navigating your own grief. Tips and resources will be provided. This meeting will begin at 1 p.m. and will be followed by a closing ceremony at 2:30 p.m., which all are invited to attend.

To register, complete the form below or call the Cedar Valley Hospice grief department at 319.272.2002. Camp is limited to the first 50 registrants. Registrations will be accepted until Friday, July 11.
