Camp. Connect. Remember.

Grief is like stepping into the wilderness without a map. It can be uncertain and overwhelming, and it’s different for everyone who walks the trail. At Healing Trails Youth Grief Camp, youth ages 5-12 can expect a day of connection and support, games and activities and an opportunity to honor and remember loved ones as they navigate their grief journey.

When: Wednesday, July 15, 10-3 p.m.

Check-in at 9:30 a.m.

Where: Hawkeye Community College, Tama Hall (1501 E. Orange Road, Waterloo)

Who: Youth ages 5-12

Cost: No cost – open to all who are grieving the death of a loved one, regardless of if the death happened on our hospice program

All campers will receive lunch, and campers who register by July 1 are guaranteed a T-shirt.

Parents and/or guardians are invited to join our grief team lead at 1 p.m. for a supportive discussion to connect, share and learn ways to support your children. This meeting will be followed by a closing ceremony at 2:30 p.m., which all are invited to attend.
