BLESSED MARIA ASSUNTA PALLOTTA MIDDLE SCHOOL – 3225 WEST 9TH STREET, WATERLOO, 50702

Keeping the Eternal Flame Lit

In the spirit of the Olympics, Cedar Valley Hospice is uniting youth ages 5-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one for a day of fun and remembrance. Join us on Wednesday, July 17 from 10-3 p.m. for a day of sharing, learning and remembering through activities meant to spark discussion about their loved one, grief and how to navigate it.

This camp is free and intended for children who are grieving the death of a loved one, regardless of if the death occurred on our hospice program. All campers will receive a T-shirt and lunch.

Parents/guardians/adults are invited to attend a discussion group at 1:30 p.m. where our expert grief counselors will give advice on how to support grieving youth while navigating your own grief. Then, join everyone for a closing ceremony at 2:30 p.m.

To register, call the Cedar Valley Hospice grief department at 319.272.2002. Camp is limited to the first 50 registrants and will be accepted until Friday, July 12.
