Keeping the Eternal Flame Lit
In the spirit of the Olympics, Cedar Valley Hospice is uniting youth ages 5-12 who have experienced the death of a loved one for a day of fun and remembrance. Join us on Wednesday, July 17 from 10-3 p.m. for a day of sharing, learning and remembering through activities meant to spark discussion about their loved one, grief and how to navigate it.Â
Â
This camp is free and intended for children who are grieving the death of a loved one, regardless of if the death occurred on our hospice program. All campers will receive a T-shirt and lunch.
Â
Parents/guardians/adults are invited to attend a discussion group at 1:30 p.m. where our expert grief counselors will give advice on how to support grieving youth while navigating your own grief. Then, join everyone for a closing ceremony at 2:30 p.m.Â
Â
To register, call the Cedar Valley Hospice grief department at 319.272.2002. Camp is limited to the first 50 registrants and will be accepted until Friday, July 12.Â
