Grief Camp
WEDNESDAY, JULY 19 • 10:00AM – 3:00 PM
VALLEY LUTHERAN SCHOOL – 4520 ROWND ST., CEDAR FALLS, 50613
You Can’t Always Stop the Waves, but You Can Learn How to Surf!
Are you ready for a day of sharing, learning, remembering and (most of all) fun? Youth who are grieving a death will remember and honor their loved ones with others their age through activities. In addition, they will learn about grief and how to navigate their own.
This camp is free and intended for children ages 5-12 who are grieving the death of a loved one. No prior affiliation with hospice is required. All campers will receive a T-shirt and lunch.
Parents/guardians/adults are invited to attend a discussion group at 1:30 p.m. where our expert grief counselors will give advice on how to support grieving youth and your own grief. Then, join everyone for a closing ceremony at 2:30 p.m.
To register, call Mikaela Hines, Eucalyptus Tree coordinator, at 800.626.2360. Camp is limited to 50 registrants.
NOTE: Camp counselors have been fully vaccinated. All attendees will be required to follow current CDC guidelines regarding masks and sanitation.
