Veteran

Keith was diagnosed Christmas Eve 2022 with Cancer. Jan 6, 2023 we were told it was a rare and agressive cancer known as Neuroendocrine Carcinoma and Adenocarcinoma of the Esophugus. There is no cure. We were told he maybe had 6 mo, could be more, could be less. We tried several different chemo and immunotherapy drugs to try to slow the cancer and provide us with as much qualitative time as possible. Unfortunately July 15, 2023 we were told he had another rareness (only 5% of cancer patients get this). He now has Leptomeningeal Disease. Lepto is the cancer had spread to the cerebral fluid of the spine and leptomeninges, the membranes that surround your brain and spinal cord. We brought him home on hospice on Tuesday July 18, 2023 and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2023. We are thankful for all the support we received from Hospice and for them making it possible for Keith to live his remaining time at home surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Keith was a hard worker and a loving husband of 18 years to Amanda and father to Kevin (age 35) Tristan (age 22) Dalton (age 17) Alizah (age 15) and Nico (age 5).
