Michele A. Way

Michele Way

Michele touched the hearts of many with her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be forever treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Michele will also be remembered for her culinary talents, her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors. Whether exploring new trails or gathering around the campfire with her loved ones, she found joy in every moment spent in nature.

As told by Morgan Way, daughter

“My mother, Michele, passed away June 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. This will be the first Release & Remember event I will be attending in her memory. However, it’s not the first that I’ve attended. My first was in 2015, because Cedar Valley Hospice cared for Jerry LaCrosse, my mom’s dad and my grandpa. My family attended this event from 2015-2018, but when COVID hit, we had to be cautious of large gatherings. This will be my first year back to remember Mom and Grandpa Jerry.

“Cedar Valley Hospice made the passing of my mom just a little bit easier. The care they provided to not only my mom, but to our entire family, including my 6-year-old son, was extraordinary… like care they would provide to their own family and loved ones. They cared for her and our family during her illness and then after she died as well.

“My mom and Cedar Valley Hospice will always be remembered as heroes – there are many moments to cherish. Some may think when Cedar Valley Hospice is called, it’s the end of an era. It may be coming, but hospice is simply a blessing with help for our loved ones and family. They remind you of the positive and peace to come during the toughest times. Truthfully, we could not have done it without their help, so I thank you, Cedar Valley Hospice!”
