Have You Included Cedar Valley Hospice in Your Estate Plans?

Why Leave a Legacy Gift?

When you leave a legacy gift, your estate receives a tax receipt for the full value of the gift, which adds a tax credit to your final income tax return. This can help maximize the value of your residual estate for your beneficiaries.***

1. Planned giving provides substantial tax advantages before or after your passing.

2. Planned giving allows you to collect fixed or interest-based income during your lifetime.

3. Planned giving ensures that your heirs receive an inheritance while reducing their estate tax burden.

4. Planned giving enables you to make your most significant contribution to others and your community.

People often worry that leaving a legacy gift means that there will be less to give their loved ones. The truth is you can make a legacy gift without taking away the gifts left to your family and friends.

Additionally, you don’t have to be wealthy to leave a legacy gift. You can leave as much or as little as you want – there is no gift too small to make an impact on future generations. It only takes a few minutes to leave a gift in your will to Cedar Valley Hospice, but it creates a legacy that lives on forever.
